- 2012-05-30 – I know its been a long long time, but I haven’t given up and there is new music coming. Neil and I have 8 songs recorded so far, including a new Skys on Fire mix. We’re currently working on recording at least two more by the end of the year. Hopefully I’ll have more news for you soon – Dan

- 09/12/07 -Hey DFR’s been pretty quiet lately, but that’s about to change.It was a rocky 2006 for DFR and when Johnny Black had to move to the West Coast last summer, plans for a 2nd studio album were put on hold indefinitely. I was burnt out after putting so much effort into this band and to see it fall apart again after we had just put it back together I just didn’t have the energy to do it a third time in two years. I needed a break to recharge.Neil recorded a solo album which I produced (coming this fall). I started experimenting and playing electric again, but any riff I played always sounded better on my acoustic. I always went back to the acoustic guitar and DFR was never dead.I had a habit of recording all the band practices in 2006 and recently I went through all these live recordings and polished them up. I am happy to announce that we will be releasing these “official bootlegs” next month as a free download on the website! The album features 14 new songs, 16 tracks total.After that Neil and I have decided to pick up where we left off and continue recording a 2nd studio album. I recorded the 1st album by myself, so the two of us should be able to pull this off in half the time right? Look for the 2nd studio album from Downfall Road sometime before 2050.peace,
